Second Taste of Temecula Valley

The second Taste of Temecula Valley will feature food, but also live music, as it raises money for schools.

The event’s entertainment committee has announced its entertainment lineup for the April 28 event It will raise money for the nonprofit Temecula Valley Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Proceeds will benefit the more than 30,000 students in the Temecula Valley Unified School District. The goal is to provide additional funding for programs in the arts, sciences and technology.

People can enjoy wine, food, and unique, wine-themed arts and crafts, as well as live performances on two stages by local and nationally-known musicians. The following entertainers are confirmed, but subject to change.

Student performers from Chaparral, Great Oak, and Temecula Valley high schools

The Brewer Boys, an alternative bluegrass/pop/country duo. Temecula brothers Justin, 18, and Nathan, 14, were featured on the 2011 season of “The X Factor” television singing competition. They appeared on the first live show and were in the Top 17 in the group category.

Ranch Rockers, with special guest Stephanie Basurto, will play country.

Midnight Ride, a rock and top 40 cover band

Mark Sage and his band

The event will be in Old Town Temecula at the Town Square in front of Temecula City Hall. It is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission will be $10 per person for those 13 and older.

Children 12 and under are free.
